About the Masterclass
In this [90 minute] Masterclass, William will explore several rapidly developing areas of public procurement. These include:
- Lawfully abandoning a public procurement process following Amey v West Sussex County Council (2019)
- Preventing a “race to the floor” on pricing
- Dealing with abnormally low tenders
This seminar would be useful for anyone involved in public sector procurement.
William Brown is a Senior Associate at Quigg Golden. Quigg Golden is a specialist construction and procurement law firm. Many of the staff at Quigg Golden hold both technical and legal qualifications. This gives Quigg Golden a unique ability to provide practical commercial advise in a fraction of the time it takes traditional “legal” firms. William specialises in construction procurement and regularly provides practical legal advice to a wide range of public, utility and private sector entities on the intricacies of national and EU procurement legislation. William is regularly invited to speak at procurement conferences throughout Ireland and the UK. William is also a lecturer in construction law and dispute resolution at Queen’s University Belfast.
