About the Course
Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA)
Under General Data Protection Regulations organisations are required to carry out Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) in a large number of circumstances, including where:
- There is a high risk to the rights of the data subjects;
- There is systematic and extensive evaluation based on automated processing;
- There is processing of sensitive personal data and personal data relating to criminal convictions and offences, on a large scale; or
- There is systematic monitoring of public areas on a large scale.
This documentation should weigh the risks and consider any and all possible safeguards against any impact on the rights of the data subject.Many organisations have never had to prepare a PIA before, and so, must develop those skills to complete successfully. During this practical and informative workshop attendees can expect to learn the ins and outs of PIAs from end-to-end. PAI’s half day Privacy Impact Assessments seminar should be attended by Data Protection Officers, GDPR project team members, and staff working on GDPR projects.
PAI’s half day Privacy Impact Assessments seminar is suitable for Data Protection Officers, GDPR project team members, and staff working on GDPR projects.
